Who does the translation?
All of MadDocs’ German-to-English translations are done in-house and reviewed by an experienced native-English-speaking editor to guarantee the best possible translation. About Linda Gaus
Punctual Perfection from a Ph.D.
The founder and principal of MadDocs LLC, Linda Gaus, is a native speaker of US English with a Ph.D. in German from the University of California, Berkeley. She has over 20 years’ translation experience covering diverse subject areas, many years of experience teaching German language and literature, and much experience translating, writing, and editing computer books (and recently also other kinds of books) for American and European publishers.
Her past translations cover many other fields, including general business and marketing, the humanities (with an emphasis on literature), social sciences, technical and instruction manuals, and homeopathic medicine. Another specialty is reading old German texts and handwriting; she attended a special course at the Herzog-August Bibliothek (Wolfenbüttel) for this very purpose.
