About Linda Gaus

Punctual Perfection from a Ph.D.

The founder and principal of MadDocs LLC, Linda Gaus, is a native speaker of US English with a Ph.D. in German from the University of California, Berkeley. She has over 25 years’ translation experience covering diverse subject areas, many years of experience teaching German language and literature, and extensive experience translating, writing, and editing a wide variety of different kinds of texts for American and European clients.

Her past translations cover many fields, including general business and marketing, the humanities (with an emphasis on literature), social sciences, technical and instruction manuals, and homeopathic medicine. Another specialty is reading old German texts and handwriting; she attended a special course at the Herzog-August Bibliothek (Wolfenbüttel) for this very purpose.
